User Adoption of Fabric - Pool of candidates for Data Engr Jobs having production Fabric Experience

Hi Fabric Community,

I'm a Power BI die-hard and our company implemented a MS Fabric capacity in August 2024. We didn't have our own in-house data warehousing (we use external companies to provide that service) and planned to use Fabric to fill the gaps and eventually bring our data warehousing in house. I posted a job for a Data Engr with requirements for some Fabric production experience. I received a boat load of responses to the job posting, but basically zero with actual production experience using Fabric. This is making me wonder about corporate adoption of Fabric. Have others had similar experiences trying to hire candidates with Production experience using Fabric? I understand the Fabric has been in GA only ~ 1 yr, but thought I would get some candidates with practical expereince based on all the hoopla about Fabric adoption I'm hearing at MS conferences.

It will take quite a while more - basically until all the premium contracts expire - before any enterprise level companies will - grudgingly - build up Fabric expertise. It's not so much an expertise problem as it is a fiscal uncertainty.
