fabric data factory not appearing

Hello,

When I click on Microsoft Fabric, there is no DAta factory shown.

It only shows: Power BI, Data Activator, DAta Engineering, Data Science

Any suggestions please?

Hi I had Pro before but changed it to Fabric capacity which is now selected and this so I do not see data factory

Any thoughts?

Even for Fabric Capacity you should be able to see Data Factory. What is the SKU choosen?

Were you able to see Data Factory when license choosen to Pro?

Inorder to use Fabric Capacity you should first create a Fabric Workspace in Azure then only you can use it, otherwise you cannot use it.

yes, I had to create the capacity so that the workspace became available.

I still do not see data factory

Ideally you should be able to see that by default.

What do you mean by fabric workspace?

Do you mean have an existing workspace and set the prenium to fabric capacity?

If so, I did that but the data factory still does not appear when I click on power BI on bottom left of screen.

Hi @Anonymous

Yes after creation of Fabric Capacity with specific SKU in Azure, you need to change the license to fabric capacity in premium Workspace settings.

Note: Azure and Fabric login should be same.

Hello,

I am facing a similar issue.Cannot see Data Factory. I am using Trial capacity. In licences I see Pro selected. What could be goind wrong? Also I do not see tenant settings, do I need to set something there to be able to see this?

I was able to see all the Fabric experience after I created a workspace. I also see the workspace attached to the trial capacity.

Hi,
I am unable to see data factory and other serivces, it only shows Power BI and Data warehouse. How to fix this ?

This is an old thread, but in case anyone else ends up here wondering why they don't see Data Factory in Fabric—the issue in our case was the Fabric workspace was created in a region where Data Factory was not yet available.
