Hi,

I'm having trouble copy-pasting for my documentation.

When I have content that cannot be downloaded as a file via the menu on top of the output cell, I copy it to the clibpoard, but when I paste it none of the formatting is respected and I end up with a mess.

E.g.: I print out multiple dataframes with .show() within the same code cell and then I try to copy and paste the results.

As I'm having more than a single dataframe in the output cell, there's no download option.

I do this a lot when debugging, and it is not workable to add a new cell after every few lines.

If I could save the result to a file in my local computer it could be helpful too.

I've tried both with Windows and Linux computers and on multiple browsers (also Edge).

Thanks for your help 🙂

No, I'm not looking for an option to download the dataframe. I know how to do that.

The issue is when I want to copy and paste results that are not single dataframes.

Examples:

* Result of a query with the schemas of multiple tables of my lakehouse

* Anything diplayed as one or more tables that does not use display().

In case if your requirment is quite different and it is not supported in Fabric Notebooks.

Appreciate if you could share the feedback on our feedback channel. Which would be open for the user community to upvote & comment on.

Thanks for the work around, but the issue persists with Word, Obsidian, and Google Docs.

With this extra step the format is preserved when copying and pasting from Notepad.
