PBI RS Desktop (August) - Treemap not functioning

In the RS version of PBI Desktop, the Treemap visual does not appear to work.

The status symbol continues to spin indefinitely.

When the report is published to RS, the treemap works fine when viewed via web browser.

When the same report is opened to the "regular" PBI Desktop stream, August edition, treemap works fine.

This is something we are looking into and it appears to only impact the 64 bit version of the desktop, if you need to workaround the issue can you try to install the x86 version and let me know if that unblocks you. Thanks!

Using the 32b version has worked as a temporary work around.

Will the 'Treemap' issue be solved in the PBI Optimized for Report Server 64-bit "Fall" release?

Can someone please confirm that the Treemap issue has been resolved in PBIRS October '17 GA?
