Hi - your question is somewhat broad. But in general, the PowerBI Report Server is the on-premise solution that offer PowerBI Desktop reports, as well as Paginated and Mobile reports offerings. It does not support the PowerBI.com style of pinnable dashboards, however the scnearios can easily be build in PBI Reports, KPI's or others. With it being an on-premise Server, the authentication, domain and clients are all configurable by the server adminstrator. You can see more general info at https://powerbi.microsoft.com/en-us/documentation/reportserver-get-started/

I have cloud customers using our hosted application service. I would like to provide them with Power BI reports and dashboards but it's difficult to make this work without compromising security. Would the Power BI Report Server provide a mechanism to do this? Can it be used to provide reporting to different, diverse customers from different domains?

How can I get more information and guidance?

Thanks for the response! Could it be installed on an Azure VM to provide reports to different customers that are not on my domain? It sounds like it's not much different than SQL Report Server.
