    <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi,&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;There is a great guide to upgrading PBIRS however I cant find any info on the process for restoring to a previous edition should the upgrade fail or cause errors.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;My guess is:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- stop service&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- uninstall software&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- install&amp;nbsp;OLD software&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- stop service&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- restore databases&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- restore config files&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- start service&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;- restore encryption keys&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Can anyone offer any advice on my plan?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks in advance.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;If your server is a virtual machine, I highly recommend just using the VM snapshot capabilities before doing the upgrade if that's available to you or to your server ops team. I cannot count the number of times that has saved me from having to use&amp;nbsp;a complex backout plan. :)&amp;nbsp; Otherwise, what you laid out there looks pretty accurate to me.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
