URL changes and now reports don't work

we have our report server configured with just the server name

https://powerbi/reports

https://powerbi/reportserver

i have since changed to be our external domain

Our reports no longer work,

get error

An error has occurred

SOmething went wrong. Please try again later

looking through the trace log, it seems it is a permission denied error

how do we fix?

The valid URL should be http://localhost/reportserver, http://<IP address>/reportserver or http://<server name>/reportserver. i need to have our internal report server available externally.

so my URLS will become externally accessible

ie powerbi.domain.com.au

however having this URL doesn't work as the security wont work

our internal domain is

site.domain.com.au - so our permissions are for our internal users

the internal URL is powerbi.site.domain.com.au

once the report server url is powerbi.domain.com.au

we then need the URL accessible via our ADFS server

please provide details and documentation on this
