Hello everyone!

Does the PowerBI server have a shared dataset feature that Excel can use to do analytics? I need to rebuild a portion of our old data warehouse and do away with SSAS. Our users are used in excel pivots and I'd like to give them the same interface.

Thanks in advance for any insights!

No it does not. If you want to share datasets across multiple reports or connect using Excel or manage datasets with multiple partitions and incremental refresh then you need to keep SSAS in your architecture.
