Pulldown Menu

Currently, I am trying to create a function in Power BI Report Builder that selects a name in the parameter after "Home" → "Run" and selects one person's name in the Pulldown Menu, which will be displayed under the "Certifier Name" text in the report. I'm trying but it's not working. The data set contents are

SELECT DISTINCT
Table_6.Name
FROM
Table_6

===============

The contents of Table_6.Name are PersonA, PersonB, PersonC, and PersonD.

The parameter properties are set by selecting "Available values" → "Get value from query".

The report opens fine and I can select a name in the pulldown menu, but when I press "View report" only PersonA is displayed. I select PersonB, but only PersonA is displayed.

Could you please tell me?

I create a sample table:

Then Importing data sets

In Power BI Report Builder, right-click Parameters and select Add Parameter. Set the parameter name to CertifierName.

Also make sure that the parameter doesn't depend on itself, and in the parameter properties, make sure that the Available Values tab isn't set to depend on the Dataset1 value. You need to create another DataSet2 dataset, just like the first dataset. Then let the argument reference the content in DataSet2

In Report Designer, add a text box that displays the selected name. Set the expression for the text box to:

=Parameters!CertifierName.Value

Select Run, when you select Parameter, the text will show what you choose, here is my preview

Previously, I was introduced to a system that allows me to select a specific person's name

from the parameter pull-down menu and display the selected person's name in text.

Next, what I would like to achieve is to display the IDNo, Email, and Signature associated with a specific person selected by @name.

Is it possible with Textbox?

Please let me know if there is any other possible method.

You can use the table visual directly. I've added the relevant data you mentioned to the original data, which is my current example table.

To create parameters, you can create them in DataSet1. Go to Query Design and create a filter with the Parameter option ticked.

Change the parameter setting to DataSet2.

Then you just need to create a Table visual, then pull your fields in and hit run. Selecting a parameter displays information about that user.
