Hi, anmolmalviya05

If you want to send reports to your SMTP server, you need to configure your SMTP information in the Report Server configuration manager:

I found the following documentation to help you configure SMTP.

Email settings in SSRS native mode (Report Server Configuration Manager) - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Learn

After that, you have to create a subscription for your reports in SSRS's web portal:

Select your destination in the subscription:

I found the following email subscription document that will walk you through setting up your subscription step by step:

Create and manage subscriptions for native mode report servers - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Learn

You can send the report to the corresponding SMTP mailbox by the above method.

Best Regards

Jianpeng Li

If this post helps, then please consider Accept it as the solution to help the other members find it more quickly.

I see the accepted solution describes how to send report subscription output to email via SMTP but does not address your question about getting the report uploaded to an SFTP server.

You have two options:

Use the file share destination delivery extension to send report subscription output to folders. Those folders would then have to be monitored via processes which would deliver the files to SFTP. This can be done in many ways, but a common solution in this kind of use case would be to use SSIS packages to do that piece. The packages could be set to poll the folders for new files to deliver via SQL Server Agent.

A simpler option is to install a delivery extension like Deztec SFTP Destination which will automatically upload the report output to SFTP straight from SSRS.

Thanks,

Nico
