Hi Pk41 ,

The PATH function requires a consistent link between the child ID and the parent ID to construct the hierarchy. If a Manager ID exists that does not have a corresponding Employee ID, the hierarchy path is broken, resulting in an error. The following is a concise plan of action to resolve this issue:

Create Placeholder Employee Records: For each unique Manager ID that does not have a corresponding Employee ID, create a Placeholder Employee Record. This ensures that each Manager ID can be linked back to the Employee ID, even if it is a dummy record. This method maintains the integrity of the hierarchy.

Handling Missing IDs with DAX: Implement DAX formulas to check for missing Employee IDs and replace them with placeholder IDs. this can be done using the ISBLANK function in DAX to check for and handle missing values.

Best Regards,

I am trying to use the PATH function to get an organizational hierarchy for performing RLS
However, there are multiple "employee IDs" that are available in the "manager ID" column but not in the "employee I'd column" Because of this I cannot use the PATH function
Please provide any workaround for this
Thank you in advance
