From Power BI Report server, we want to sent email notifications when any report is published or modified

In the Powe BI the SMTP Configuration is set, however the emails are not getting relayed.

Blogs states that there is a .Net framework dependency Framework 4.8 and when tried to apply the patch for framework 4.8 on OS 2019 it's not going through

we have also created a test instance and tested the functionality on OS 2022; however it was not working. Note sure if it is a license issue with Report Server; due to which the functionality did not work.

Can you pls calrify on this

Report Server does not support these sorts of notifications. The email functionality is designed for people to schedule the sending out of reports. It does not have any functionality which notifies of changes to reports.

(Inner Exception #0) System.Net.Mail.SmtpException: Failure sending mail. ---> System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception: The client and server cannot communicate, because they do not possess a common algorithm

So that means something in your configuration settings is wrong. Check the Advanced settings here E-Mail Settings in SSRS Native mode (Configuration Manager) - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) | Microsoft Docs The first thing I would be checking is the SSL configuration.

is there any other configuration for 0365 email account.
