January 2022 release of report server blocks opening report in new tab

Has anyone else noticed the Jan. 2022 version of report server blocking opening reports in a new tab? Used to be able to Ctrl + Click or right click and do it. Now both actions are explicitly blocked. What's the reasoning behind this? Even the PBI Service lets me open a report in a new tab...

Yes. After posting, I found the same behavior on a previous version of report server. However, with the new version, I still can't do a Ctrl+Click to open a new tab. No matter what I do or try, the reports only open in the active tab and that's new behavior.

I suspect this is not a problem with the report server version update. I did the same test on an older version and it still shows the same results. Were you able to reproduce again the steps that opened successfully before?

Yes--after posting, I realized the blocking thing was not new. It's the Ctrl + click behavior. On my May 2021 Report Server, a Ctrl + Click opens a report in a new tab. The Jan 2022 version just opens the report in the current tab/window.
