Can not download english version Power BI Report Server October 2017

Hello,

I've downloaded the Power BI Report Servier from this site

I've selected english. But I am always getting the german version.

I could download English version from this site.

In your scenario, please try to use a different web browser to download. If possible, download the application on a different machine then send it to current machine.

no luck. I tried IE, Firefox and edge. I've choosen en-us and English.

This is the download link of the exe :

Is there an alternative download link for the english version?

Hello Yuliana,

I tried on a different machine. But on both machines a german os is installed.

So I get the german version. Instead of the selected english.

I need the english because of

"The resource file 'msmdsrv.rll' for locale '1034' could not be loaded. Switching to US English (1033) if available."

Power BI Desktop and all other software is english but the os.

Is it possible to post the url for the english download or fix the download portal.

Hello @Joschko1,

Per my understanding, Power BI report server has been localized to OS locale, since there is no language specific download you may have to download it in a machine US-EN language and it should have the English version for you.

now it is working.

This is the message from msmdsvr.log

Thats why i wanted to download an english version. Which i still would prefer.

I have downloaded the german version of PBI desktop october

Same error.

Then i moved to Internet explorer instead of edge. Voila, it is working.
