Hi UncleLewis ,

Do you want to merge reports from different data sources? It seems that you can't merge them directly, and even if the merge is successful, the merged page is just a static page because you can't connect to the data source corresponding to the report.

I suggest you to turn on the following option in Options, and then connect the data sources corresponding to the original different reports to generate the corresponding reports.

If the problem is still not resolved, please provide detailed error information and let me know immediately. Looking forward to your reply.

Best Regards,
Henry

Thanks Henry,

I don't see any preview features under options.

I am using PBIRS, not PBID

My version of Desktop is specifically for Report Server.

Thanks,

-w

Hi UncleLewis ,

PBIRS and PBID have nearly similar functions. Is it possible to further describe your application scenario. Is it possible to connect multiple data sources in the same pbix file to create different reports and then implement merging between the reports? I have done a test in PBIRS, using the function of button, to achieve jumping between reports, does it meet your needs?

Looking forward to your feedback.

Best Regards,
Henry

Thanks Henry,

We inserted a button on R1 to go to R2, but we do not like it

Seems not possible to merge since different Data Model in both reports so we are going to re-create R2 as additional Pages in R1. after we get all the detail of the Data Model correct.

Not ideal, but it is what it is.

Thanks

-w
