All my reports are very slow in Power BI Report Server

Hi All,

All my reports loads very slow in PBI Report Server.

Even the smallest report with ( only 2 report pages and with very minimal calculation ) takes the same time to load as long as a larger report.

Any suggestions or solutions will be appreciated.

Anonymous : I would start with the following

- Check the server's resource using 'Resource monitor' on windows server

- If the resources are not fully consumed , check the server performance using 'Performance Monitor'

According to your description, I have two suggestions for slowness:
1. Power BI adds the ability to analyze the performance of Power BI desktop reports. This means that if your reports are running slowly, you can now use the Performance Analyzer on the Power BI desktop to identify the culprit and find the cause of the impact.
When you interact with the report, such as refreshing the visual effects, filtering the report, etc. The performance analyzer records all activities. If you have a long-running report, you can identify which vision is the culprit by looking at the running time.

2.Just like the reference system that Microsoft used for the tests, we recommend isolating the AD, SQL Server Database, Analysis Services (if applicable), & Power BI Report Server. Here is a sample reference architecture below:
