PBI Server change database: No such host is known

To create a sandbox environment I want to set up a PBI Server on my local machine. During the setup when I want to setup a database I get the following error message with the 'Credentials' part: No such host is known

And if it is not there, then you could post it.

If you have Pro account you could try to open a support ticket. If you have a Pro account it is free. Go to https://support.powerbi.com. Scroll down and click "CREATE SUPPORT TICKET".

Thank you for your reply. I did not find the issue in the forum. I'm a bit hesistant to post my issue there as I do not think it is a bug, but something I did wrong. Just don't know what.

Too bad, currently I do not have a pro account.

Anonymous Are you running as an administrator? What did you put in for your server/host name?

Yes I'm running as administrator. The server is a local server I created: (LocalDb)\MSSQLLocalDB which I can connect to with SQL Server

I'm not sure if localDB instances are a supported back end. I'm using a developer instance locally and that definitely works. I suspect the config tool is looking for a server called "(LocalDB)" and not finding it. If you use a local developer instance you can connect to localhost\<instance name>
