I think the Jan 2020 Versions appears incompatible for some of my reports, is there any way to install earlier report versions? Maybe even earlier than September 2019?

Thanks in advance.

Newer versions of the report server are always backward compatible with older reports. So there should not be cases where a report no longer works. Suggest looking into why the report has a problem. Otherwise, there is no server downgrade. Rather you would need to backup the Sep-2019 version of the catalog database, and attach that to an install of that server version.

Based on your other thread where your custom visuals are throwing javascript errors I think this is an issue or corruption of some sort on your specific server rather than a general compatibility issue.

I have a report on my dev server that uses all the different custom visuals we use in our organization (including some internal, custom written ones) that I use for testing when a new version of PBIRS is released and that report is working fine for me.

If you have not tried already I would suggest re-running the Jan 2020 installer and choosing the repair option to see if that can fix the issue. If that does not work the next step would be to take a back up of the encryption key then uninstall PBIRS, make sure there are no files left in the install location (ususally C:\Program Files\Microsoft Power BI Report Server) then try re-installing. You should be able to reconnect to your current database and import your encryption key so that you don't loose any content.
