topic Oracle Connection in Report Server https://community.fabric.microsoft.com/t5/Report-Server/Oracle-Connection/m-p/817627#M11860 <P>Hi</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>I have the september 2019 version of PBI Desktop and the Report Server, I made a couple of reports that connect to a Oracle DB and I did not have any issues if I just configured the connection with the&nbsp;<EM>(DESCRIPTION=(ADDRESS=(PROTOCOL=TCP)(HOST=...</EM> string connection, however I need (or I belive) to setup the connection thru ODBC in order for my users to refresh the report within the report server. My IT office installed the ODAC on the server and setup the ODBC also but every time I try to connect I get the same&nbsp;<SPAN>"The provider being used is deprecated: 'System.Data.OracleClient requires Oracle client software version 8.1.7 or greater.'.
