Hi,

I want to use PowerBI Report server which uses Windows Authentication with Windows AD but I want to implement IBM ID (supports OpenID connect) for federation purpose. IBMID will be used as external Identity provider for Authentication. So when a user login to report server it should be redirected to IBMID and once the claim is received he will be authorized based on Windows AD.So authebtication happens outside but authorization is done on Windows AD.

Can somebody provide step by step by step guidance on this?

Regards
Rajaniesh

I don't believe anything like this exists "out of the box". But you could possibly develop you own custom security extension in C# to integrated into IBMID. There is a sample here https://github.com/Microsoft/Reporting-Services/tree/master/CustomSecuritySample that shows how to build a custom security extension that authenticates against a custom database. I think it should be possible to integrate with another authentication provider using this technique.
