Embedded Q&A only displays "We weren't able to load suggestions right now. Please try again later."

I'm unable to get the embedded Q&A feature working, I followed the instructions in this guy in a cube video:

I set the embed token, embed url, and dataset id in the embedded sample application and clicked run. While the view does load, it shows a "We weren't able to load suggestions right now. Please try again later." message. I can type intot he Q&A box, but no results show. Instead, I get a "We're having trouble finding answers right now. Please try again alter" message.

I'm using import mode for my data and I can view and edit embedded reports just fine.

Hi @Elderin,

Could you go to check if you're able to use the Q&A feature to ask the same question against the same dataset on Power BI service, in order to narrow down this issue? As it could be an issue with the dataset on Power BI service, but not with the code(rest api).

Hi @v-ljerr-msft,

Q&A doesn't seem to be available in the PowerBI service itself. It is however working in PowerBI Desktop. I'm currently using import mode and I don't see anything in dataset settings to enable Q&A. Is this feature not available for import mode?

Hi @Elderin,

Have you applied any Row Level Security to your dataset? Q&A is not supported with RLS at this time. You will not see the Q&A input box for dashboards if all models have RLS configured. This is on the roadmap, but a timeline is not available.

Yes we did apply row level security. That must be it. Thanks so much for your help!
