Hi Folks,

I have a business request to build a device usage reporting application where the customers or sales folk can enter data onto the "report" page - something like an SSRS page to make the report more interactive. The picture below is very basic but shows what the intent would be.

There is also a fair amount data anlaytics going into the report which seems to fit into the Power BI application. So I was thinking we would have to build an App with a Power BI report embedded in it. Having never developed something along these lines I am wondering if this is a possible solution or if there is some better way of building a fairly dynamic and interacitve reporting solution.

You can definitely custom such interactive layout with Power BI Javascript API, see this online demo Custom Filter Pane.
