    <description>&lt;P&gt;If you build a &lt;A href="https://github.com/Microsoft/DataConnectors" target="_self"&gt;custom Data Connector&lt;/A&gt;, the REST endpoint can be anything that you wish.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;A non-ODATA endpoint by itself (i.e. just json) doesn't descripe the data format/schema well enough so that's a task you'll be doing in your custom connector.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
