Hi @Everyone

I have embedded Power BI reports into Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations using the application integration setup.

While configuring the application in Microsoft Entra ID, we grant permissions such as:

Dataset.Read / Dataset.ReadWrite

Report.Read

Dashboard.Read

Workspace.Read

Content.Create

Based on the Microsoft documentation, these permissions are required for integration.

https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/dynamics365/fin-ops-core/dev-itpro/analytics/configure-power-bi-integration

However, I have a question regarding access control:

Even though these API permissions are granted at the application level, will a user be able to see all Power BI reports in D365 F&O if they do NOT have explicit access to the Power BI workspace or individual reports?

Or does Power BI still enforce its own security (workspace access, report sharing, RLS), meaning users will only see reports they already have access to in Power BI?

Would appreciate clarification from anyone who has worked on this scenario.

Thanks in advance!
