Embedding PowerBI App with vue.js client

Hi,

I know I can embed Power BI reports, dashboards and a couple of other entities in my vue.js webapplication with the vue.js client.

Is it also possible to embedd an app? I tried it with the PowerBIDashboardEmbed tag, but that doesn't work. But maybe I don't know how to configure PowerBIDashboardEmbed correctly?

If it is possible could someone point me to the right direction which properties to set when embedding a Power BI app?

@m_andel I believe that you would need to have an A SKU for embedding into an external application like that.

@GeraldGEmerick , embedding info in general is not the problem - like i wrote. I have already successfully embedded reports in our webapplication.
My problem is, that the vue.js API seems to not provide a way to embed a Power BI app.

Thanks for reaching out to the Microsoft fabric community forum.

The issue you're experiencing is due to a limitation of the Power BI platform, not Vue.js or the Power BI JavaScript client. Power BI apps can't be embedded, as they're just for packaging and distribution within the Power BI service. They don't have an embed URL, embed token, or any API for embedding.

This means the Vue client can't be configured to work with apps, and using dashboard or report embed components won't work for an app. Having an A SKU or Premium capacity is necessary for embedding reports and dashboards, but it doesn't allow apps to be embedded.

The only supported method is to embed individual reports or dashboards from the app and, if needed, recreate the app's navigation in your web application. This behavior is by design and not a configuration issue.
