What is a DAY for the limits of refresh request

Within this endpoint in the Pro Plan POST https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/{groupId}/datasets/{datasetId}/refreshes

I can have 8 refreshes per day, but when exactly a day starts or ends.

I want to be able to computate how many request i have remained to give a return to the user.

Like: Refresh button clicked, now you have 7 refreshes remaining. The "day" passes so the counter go back to 8

replace "day" with "24 hour period".

Note that the limit of 8 is only for Pro/free workspaces.

I made the system follow that logic of 24 hours, but the requests were blocker by the limit of 8 requests per day. Now i think the right way would be to restart the count of requests remaining at UTC 00:00 or the 00:00 of my time zone

Hi Jean_Jales,

Microsoft’s documentation states that the 8-refreshes-per-day limit for shared capacity (Power BI Pro) includes both scheduled and API-triggered refreshes. The quota resets daily at 12:01 AM in the semantic model’s configured local timezone, which is set in the Scheduled refresh settings. This refresh counter is not based on a rolling 24-hour period or UTC; it uses the scheduled-refresh timezone settings.
