I am using Power BI embedded in an external portal. When I use reports in which the semantic model is in import mode, I have no problems accessing the report data. However, when I use a report with the semantic model using an active connection to the Power BI service (Power BI datasets) via Direct Query, I am facing the error below.

If I access this same report through the Power BI service, the data loads normally, but when I access it through the embedded version, the error occurs. Has anyone experienced this problem? Can you help me?

According to your statement, I think your error should be cause by embed token.

Please check below Example of generating an embed token for a Power BI report with a dataset which is connected with DirectQuery to another Power BI dataset. All related dataset IDs must be specified in the request with 'xmlaPermissions' set to 'ReadOnly'. IdentityBlobs for all SSO-enabled data sources must be provided in the 'datasourceIdentities' array .
