topic PBIX Export with Power BI API in Developer

Hello!

I have found that the one thing that I would really want out of Fabric and Power BI is the option to daily export PBIX files as back up. This is something I haven't noticed in the service as an option. This seems very important in the governance area, if someone were to delete the report in the workspace, I'd like to have a copy of the PBIX file available to publish to recover it.

I have been recently dabbling in the Power BI API to get usage metrics. But it also has the export option to use the API for. I am using a service principal to use this API. I have gotten a Power Automation together that gets the workspace IDs and Report IDs and then the goal is the automation uses the Service Principal to export these PBIX files into a Sharepoint folder. Everything works up to the export.

The service principal seems to have all the permissions needed but when I run it, it fails. I was doing some research and saw that this option is only with delegated permissions. Has anyone worked on something like this? Had an automation that would download a copy of the report for backup? Did you use Power Automate. I just want to see if I'm doing something wrong, or if there are limitations.
