Error connecting to SQL Server from Power BI Desktop

Hello:

I have access to my employer's SQL Server through SQL Server Management Studio from PBI Desktop.

I attempted to use the same login credentials in Power BI to access the SQL Server but ran into the following error. Any guidance would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Are you using Window authentication as a method to access SQL Server?.

Okay, but I'm asking for when you connect to SQL Server Database in PBI Desktop, Which mode are you connected with?

@Kaviraj11 I don't get to that screen.

The screenshot shows what pops up when I choose SQL Server option under Get data. When I enter the login info and hit OK, it gives the error I shared earlier.

Are you putting only the server name? can you try with a specific database that you have access on the server?
