    <description>&lt;P&gt;First I would strongly suggest you use a more recent up to date &amp;nbsp;v.1.4.0 version available on Github&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;A href="https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals-sampleBarChart" target="_blank"&gt;https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals-sampleBarChart&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and not refer to code provided at the Gist link &lt;A href="https://github.com/Microsoft/PowerBI-visuals-sampleBarChart" target="_blank"&gt;https://gist.github.com/deldersveld/2e12892c516d5bi&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/A&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;The main reason is it&amp;nbsp;contains only part of a code that was built using previous v.1.1.0 version.&amp;nbsp;Now for that resaon it would&amp;nbsp;surely work if you use whole api&amp;gt;v1.1.0 - schema.pbiviz.json with corresponding capabilities.json definition,...&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;though the visual.ts code segment provided on Gist link won't work if&amp;nbsp;you try to cut and paste and mix it with a Visual Studio Code 1.4.0.&amp;nbsp;generated template. &amp;nbsp;You'll either have to refactor the code to v1.4.0 or simply remove any v1.4.0 reference and simply refer everything back to v.1.1.0. &amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;Hope it helps.&lt;/P&gt;</description>
