Auto forwarded messages report from Microsoft exchange

Hello community.

Scenario. I setted up few email addresses with the only goal to forward incoming emails to an another address. For example, person A sends an email to the address abc@example.com. The Postbox abc just forwards the mail to antother address (def@test.com) a copy of the email is not saved, the post box is so empty. The address abc@example.com is a microsoft exchange account.

Goal: I would like to analyze, in PowerBI, how many emails, by excahnge account, has been forwarded in a given time-window

What I tried:

Microsoft 365 usage analytics data model. I succesfully installed the App in PowerBI, but I cannot find the information needed. A reasons is due to the fact that the account abc@example.com has no license assigned (Microsoft 365 usage analytics data model - Microsoft 365 admin | Microsoft Docs)
The Exchange Admin Center has a Report (Exchange admin center (microsoft.com)) that looks good. I would like to import the same Data (Data-Set) into PowerBI. Sadly I did not find a way how to do it.

Hi @smartis13 ,

For Exchange Admin Center data (mailbox lists etc) try importaing via the new REST API by just adding the following to Power Query / Power BI as an OData Feed:

https://outlook.office.com/adminApi/beta/[Azure Active Directory Tenant ID]/

(Where [Azure Active Directory Tenant ID] is in XXXXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXXXXXXXXX format and found via How to find your Azure Active Directory tenant ID)

thank you for the reply. I succesfully imported the data from https://outlook.office.com/adminApi/beta/.

But sadly I cannot find any information about sent/received/forwarded emails. Seems like there are only counfiguration informations about email accounts.
