Hello people, we have a web app we use to show our reports to our staff and one of them suddenly started to fail showing the data since last week.

Our app uses the Power BI C# SDK in the backend to get the access token and embed token using service principal. The backend code is not throwing any errors and the embed token is correctly got. In the frontend, we are using the Javascript SDK and when we call powerbi.embed(reportContainer, config); the report starts loading and after some seconds it shows the report blanked, with no data.

While trying to debug this error we found that there´s a 403 error in the browser

We added an on error handler to see if we got any details and we got this:

<LI-CODE lang="markup">detailedMessage: "undefined. Could not render a report visual titled: undefined"
message: "DM_GWPipeline_Gateway_DataSourceAccessError"
technicalDetails: {requestId: undefined}</LI-CODE>

This report uses an on-premise live connection to an SSAS instance through a report gateway. The report and the gateway is working fine when we open it in the power bi app (desktop and app.powerbi.com), it loads correctly and shows the data. We have verified that the user we are using to connect to the SSAS data source is an admin in the SSAS instance. Do you have any ideas on what could be the cause for this issue? Thanks in advance.

Unfortunatelly no! we opened a support ticket because everything looked fine on our side but they weren't able to help us, so we ended up creating another version of the report that doesn't use an on-premise live connection to SSAS and uses a direct connection to SQL Server instead.
