According to your description, it seems like your requirement is more related to visual studio data driver connections. I'd like to suggest you post these in the Visual Studio Community to get better support.

In addition, if the option has been removed from odbc list, you can try to manually type the connection string of a specific data driver.

Hi,

I am connecting to a ODBC with the DSN option TBDB in Power BI Desktop without any issues. However, I would like to build a cube for our reporting services on-prem solution and I am having trouble connection with Visual Studio.

Options in Power BI desktop

Options in Visual Studio

Is TBDB unsuported in Visual Studio, or is there another way to connect so I can build my SSAS Tabular Model?

Regards,

Anders
