Export in Power BI API - stoped working

Hi All

We have faces a critical issue just couple days ago.

We are using Power BI api to display reports in custom web application. For each visual you have an option to export data.

It was working just perfectly last month or so, and suddenly, stop working just couple days ago without any notice.

Is there any changes have been done recently?

I noticed the same issue today. When I go to export the report freezes and a transaprent white overlay shows up over the entire report. I am using powerbi embedded. I just noticed the issue today, so not sure how long it has been like this. I am going to do some more testing and hopefully find the issue. If anyone finds a solution please advise. Thanks!

Yes exactly the same.

We know exact time - Thursday after 12 pm Brisbane time.

MSFT, please advise. Cant do such things without any info.

I'm failing exporting the data as excel as well. As a workaround, you can export the data in a csv file, in my test, it works now.
I have escalated this issue internally and would post back if there comes any update.

Thanks a bunch for the update. It seems to be working with csv as expected now. I also am curious about exporting when using an iframe within a webview. There seems to be a disconnect when using the export function in a webview and it doesnt make that call properly. Everything else in the webview works perfectly. If I use the iframe in the browser without the webview it works perfectly. Basically, nothing happens when you use the export function in a webview. Thought I would touch on it since I have tried a couple of times to raise the issue, but never found an answer. Something with the script not getting called when going through the webview and the iframe.

Yep. I can confirm as well CSV export is working.

For the WebView, I was thinking something wrong with my app. Now, I see that you guys cant use it as well. For Web View I had export broken from the beggining. Oh, guys, you can't belive how much pain we get because of export not working in theweb view. I had to build a complete, separate application just because of this...

Could be good to know if there any work planned on this as well..

Yeah the webview issue was driving me nuts. I ended up adding a button to link out to the browser, but its not ideal because the users have to go through the same report twice if they want to export. This is such a key function of powerbi and essential for our users. I hope they have a fix for this soon. If I find a solution I will definitely post it for you. If you find anything please PM me. You would think the webview for winapp/uwp would be supported considering its a microsoft product, but I guess not yet. I did add an issue for it, so hopefully that gets some other users with the same issues and picks up some steam for the team to dig into.
