Did pbiviz --install-cert successfully, but still running into "Can't contact visual server"

Followed certificate installation instructions exactly as listed here.
When running pbiviz start, I notice that this warning that Certificate is invalid! shows up and that it's generating a new certificate.
The instructions for this error states: "If the visual displays a connection error message, open a new tab in your browser, navigate to https://localhost:8080/assets/status, and authorize your browser to use this address."
When going to localhost, get error that connection is not private, and once I click through, I see this
which seems wrong.

What am I doing wrongly here? I'm guessing that something is wrong with installing the certs, but I don't know what's the issue.

What kind of browser did you use to open this link?

Chrome browser blocks this address https://localhost:8080 because of non-valid certificate.

Please open the following link in separate browser tab:

Chrome will show the warning message, click advanced > proceed to unsafe version.

After that Chrome will work with dev visual correctly.

I am using both Brave and Chrome to try this. I have done the advanced > proceed to unsafe version. Same result
