@Anonymous Would need to see what you data looks like but you could create a calculated column that counts down the weeks until the job is due and use that in a Card visual for example. Or maybe a meausre that calculates the minimum weeks until due over all your jobs and use that. You might want to investigate Power Automate as an alternative to using dashboards and alerts.

I am in the process of creating a report/dashboard for my prefab shop, I understand that in order to set alerts you have to pin cards to a dashboard in order to starting using alerts. I need to figure out a way to have an alert show up on the dashboard or the report that shows certain dates, and example of this is this job needs to be done by the end of the month, the first week of the month, the status is green, second week status is green, 3 week the status is yellow and email is sent saying we are nearing the time that this needs to be done. The 4th week it turns red and sends another email stating this this is the final week for this to be completed. How would I use Power bi and the widgets on the report and dashboard to visually creating this.

@Anonymous Sorry, having trouble following, can you post sample data as text and expected output?
Not really enough information to go on, please first check if your issue is a common issue listed here: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/Before-You-Post-Read-This/ba-p/1116882

Also, please see this post regarding How to Get Your Question Answered Quickly: https://community.powerbi.com/t5/Community-Blog/How-to-Get-Your-Question-Answered-Quickly/ba-p/38490

The most important parts are:
1. Sample data as text, use the table tool in the editing bar
2. Expected output from sample data
3. Explanation in words of how to get from 1. to 2.

HI @Anonymous,

I think you can add a calculated column to calculate the datediff based on 'start date' and 'end date' and nested with if statement to compare with datediff to return tags. (if the 'end date' equal to blank, you can use today function instead)

BTW, since we do not clarify your data structure, can you please share dummy data to test?

Regards,
Xiaoxin Sheng
