    <description>&lt;P&gt;can you help me with this post - i did not get an asnwer - thanks gidon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i have a pbix model which is steady&amp;nbsp; base.pibx &amp;nbsp;.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i want to start new model ( power bi doc )&amp;nbsp; data.pbix&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i want to strat with the base model , so i have all my base tables ready .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in qlik we used binary connect&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;gidon&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi guys&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I am very new to power Pi , and have years of experience with qlik .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;in qlikview I am using Script to&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;connect to SQL SERVER&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;and SELECT functio to load data from the tables .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;is it possible to do it by script&amp;nbsp; also&amp;nbsp; ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;if yes how can I do it&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;gidon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes, You can do that in PowerBI as well.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Go to the Get Data Tab, Select SQL Server, Specify the Server &amp;amp; Database Name&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;To write custom SQL Script, Select Advanced Options, Create your Script and You would able to work with the data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;PowerBI offers flexibility in terms of connection as well. You can use either Import Mode or Direct Query mode. Just to clarify, There are some limitations in Direct Query mode.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hope this will help you understand PowerBI features &amp;amp; Capabilities.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hello Bhavesh&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thanks for your prompt reponse&amp;nbsp; .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;as a qlik developer i am used to write script edit them&amp;nbsp; .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;i asume the way you described it is the only way to connect&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; .&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;it works the same way also with the enterpirse version ?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thanks&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;gidon&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Yes. There are not many differences between Free &amp;amp; Pro Version. Everyting is same, Except limitations in uploading and sharing dashboards in PRO version have more options than Free PowerBI Service account.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
