Hi @Anonymous,

According to your description, it sounds more related to data source operation and updates. (these not suitable with power bi desktop)
AFAIK, power bi is a reporting tool that gets data and design reports with custom visualizations. It does not contain the writeback features to sumbit the changes back to your data source.

For your scenario, I'd like to suggest you design the report to show the data visualization. You can consider using power app or other tools to achieve the data source update operations.
Regards,

MY PBI is taking the data source as Sharepoint excel file.It contains each employees informations.
Currently the data for the excel has been entered. Now I am looking for a way that automate this data gathering process.
Basically the informations should be entered by each Employee.His/Her personal data.Their technological skills etc.
So one employee is reponsible for his data. Since he cannot see others data the chance of updating other record is very low.
And he should be able to update his already entered records.(Time to time his knowledge level
of different products may be updated.)And new records could be entered as well.

Initially I planned to use MS forms to generate the Sharepoint excel. But then I notice that the responses we submit through MS forms cannot be edited by the person who submit that record.
Is there any good work around to satisfy my requirement.

Sounds like you want to consider using PowerApps for that purpose. You could even include a PowerApps visual in Power BI so your users can update their data directly there.
