&lt;P&gt;The direct answer is as of now PowerBI don't have a feature of Live connections to Web source/API only Import mode is supported.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However there are some good workaround which you can use like streaming data etc, Please refer to the below link&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi guys!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I have a lot of APIS that return information on JSON format. We need a live report that let to consume the APIS and return the information on real time.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Example: The API returns &lt;U&gt;&lt;EM&gt;id&lt;/EM&gt;&lt;/U&gt;, &lt;EM&gt;&lt;U&gt;name&lt;/U&gt;&lt;/EM&gt;,&amp;nbsp;&lt;EM&gt;&lt;U&gt;status,&lt;/U&gt; &lt;U&gt;timestamps&lt;/U&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/EM&gt;of a register, and in some moment the &lt;EM&gt;&lt;U&gt;status&lt;/U&gt;&amp;nbsp;o&lt;/EM&gt;f a specific register&amp;nbsp;can change, and if the user try to search that register on the report it needs to get the recent updated data.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;How we can solve this?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Thank you!&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
