I am looking to embed a PowerBI report in my application and realized that import only allows refreshes every 30 minutes. With that said, I am exploring DirectQuery (via RedShift) as my data source instead.

Will using RedShift-powered DirectQuery enable near-real-time refreshes for data in a Power BI Embedded application?

Furthermore, in the documentation for DirectQuery there was discussion around the limitations of transformations without clarifying what those limitations are. Is it possible to do standard SUM/AVG aggregations with DirectQuery? What are the notable transformation limitations that I should be concerned about before going ahead with DirectQuery?
