Unable to Retrieve Dataset info from the API

Hello all!

I am attempting to get info on the datasets within a specific workspace using the API.

I am able to get the bearer token without any issues. It returns with the following permissions:

"scope": "Content.Create Dashboard.Read.All Dashboard.ReadWrite.All Data.Alter_Any Dataset.Read.All Dataset.ReadWrite.All Group.Read Group.Read.All Metadata.View_Any Report.Read.All Report.ReadWrite.All",

I am able to run: https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups in order to get a list of the groups i am a member of.

But if i use the groupID of any of the results from that
https://api.powerbi.com/v1.0/myorg/groups/XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX/datasets

I get an error that i am not authorized.

According to the documentation provided by microsoft- https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/rest/api/power-bi/datasets/getdatasetsingroup

The only required items are:

Required scope: Dataset.ReadWrite.All or Dataset.Read.All

And my bearer token states i have that access.

Error

Status: 401 unauthorized

Has anyone seen this before?

According to your description, it should be good.

1. How did you do this?

2. Was the token still valid?

3. What did the token look like? Can you share the format? For example,

Access token: eyJ0eXAiOiJKV1QiLCJhbGciOiJSUz*******************

Embedded token: H4sIAAAAAAAEAB2Wta7FCpJF*****************

4. Can you try the other App workspaces?

Looks like it was a licensing issue where i lost access to powerbi pro on my service account.

Working as intended now.
