Use bookmarks in custom visual

Does anyone have any information on how to use bookmarks within a custom visual?

I would like to have clickable elements within the visual that would trigger opening of a bookmark (similar to that which is achieved in shapes at the moment). I am think dynamic shapes which change with mouseover, and dynamic lists which change options in response to date, to proivde greater interactivity prior to clicking the link.

Bookmarks are currently a Preview feature, you may give feedback via https://ideas.powerbi.com/forums/265200-power-bi.

Make Bookmarks available on VisualUpdateOptions and VisualConstructorOptions interfaces
 in custom visuals so that developers can extend custom visual functionality.

This would include: 
+ Ability to trigger a jump to a bookmark from a custom visual 
+ List existing bookmarks (so that they can be displayed) 
+ Filter bookmarks displayed in the bookmarks window 
+ Create, remove, update and delete bookmarks 
+ Store custom visual settings against a bookmark so that the custom visual responds
 to bookmark selections. [or allow custom visuals to be responsive to bookmark selections].
