A remix of this recent post:

https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/bslfv2/oc_which_cities_are_the_best_deals_quality_of/?ref=share&ref_source=link

Tools: Power BI

Data:

Quality of Life is Mercer rankings (https://mobilityexchange.mercer.com/Insights/quality-of-living-rankings). To make it more intuitive I reversed the ranking so that higher is better.

Cost of Living is from Expatistan: https://www.expatistan.com/cost-of-living/index/

Continents are from Wikipedia/Wikidata: https://w.wiki/4Q8

I used the Fuzzy Merge feature to get more matches between the two main datasets. I also did some manual tweaking of countries to align the first two datasets with Wikipedia. From Wikipedia I filtered out a few results to avoid confusion: USA in Oceania, Netherlands in almost every continent.

It's interactive so you can use the Continent or City, Country slicers on the left to view a selection of Cities. Note the City, Country slicer has Search enabled.
