🍃Global Air Quality Watch

This interactive Power BI report explores the latest publicly available air quality sensor activity across global public sensor networks using the OpenAQ API. The report is designed with a clean, portfolio-style experience that guides users from a high-level snapshot of current readings into deeper short-term trend analysis. It combines mapping, KPI storytelling, comparative country analysis, and a guided interpretation layer to make pollutant patterns more accessible and visually engaging.

Global Now - The opening view provides a worldwide snapshot of active public sensors for a selected pollutant. Users can explore a global sensor map, review current KPI summaries, and switch to a distribution analysis tab that groups readings into percentile-based categories such as Healthy, Satisfactory, and Elevated.

30-Day Trend - The second page focuses on recent behavior over time, using daily measurements to highlight 30-day average readings, recent week-over-week change, country comparisons, and reporting coverage. This page combines animated trend storytelling with a comparative matrix to help users explore both performance and reliability.

User Guide - A dedicated guide page explains how to read the dashboard, interpret the KPIs, and understand the meaning of distribution and trend metrics.

Support / Contact –-A final page provides a clean way to connect with the report creator.

This dashboard is powered by the OpenAQ API and uses performance-aware query parameters to balance refresh time, API rate limits, and report usability. Because country coverage depends on the selected pollutant and available reporting sensors, comparisons reflect the available public sensor network at refresh time, not a complete inventory of all monitoring worldwide.

This project reflects my focus on building polished, public-facing Power BI reports that combine strong design, HTML-enhanced storytelling, and practical analytical insight.

Thank you,
Gabriel Ferrera

eyJrIjoiN2I2YjRlNTQtMDJkZS00MDZlLThiN2ItNTkwY2I4MTQxMDE2IiwidCI6IjhmOTEyZGI3LWU5MWEtNDhlYS1hOTg4LTBkYjQ4ZmFjN2Q4YSIsImMiOjJ9
