Have you ever been curious about how your current state project metrics compare with their historical values; one week ago, two weeks ago, one month ago, several months ago? This report fulfills that curiosity. You get to select the time range, along with other slicers, by which this comparison is made.

At the top of the report, you have the date or timeline slicer. The visuals and table will adjust based on your selections here. To the right of the slicers are current state metrics for the overall projects. One of the nice things about this report is that both current state metrics and overall trends clearly stand out.

Below this, you have four line charts that show the overall trend of Cost, Work, Schedule Performance Index (SPI), and Cost Performance Index (CPI). These visuals provide an overall context to the more granular table details, which consist of the individual projects.

The table allows you to take a closer look at individual projects. The "Prev" (previous) values in the table are based on the MIN([Date]) in the time period you select. So you get to compare these previous values with their current state counterparts. Trend KPI's accompany this comparison to make project level trends stand out more clearly. If a does not have a date for the MIN([Date]) you select, then that project will not display in the table. This avoids unnecessary clutter in the table, allowing you to focus on the projects that actually have values for that historical date.
