This is a copy of a Tableau report that I liked by Naresh Suglani. In Tableau there is a little more flexibility with visuals so I have used this as an opportunity to learn the basics of Denib/Vega Lite which I find interesting. The KPI cards style look and feel and their use of titles/subtitles within PowerBI was all taken from Gerrard Duggan's youtube video: Next Level KPI Cards.

Nice take on the original Tableau dashboard by NSuglani. Steed360, you might want to re-visit the [M][Y] colours, balancing them with your green and white primary colours; only my personal opinion and not a criticism in any way. I love your lighter take on the original. I have always gone light over dark. DEVs love dark due to the time spend building but there is a much better user experience with a lighter model. That said, dark has a very immediate and dramatic impact so there are pros and cons to each.

Deneb is a very solid route for custom visuals, beating Python, R and charticulator. I am looking into Custom Visuals right now in order to determine the best way forward for a team solution and Deneb is, so far, ticking all the right boxes.

Thanks for that, Paul. Good spot on the colours, thanks. I've neglected this for other things but am aware of the need to keep practicing, so will try to finish this off and start one of my own challenges. I think Davide Bacci's (for example) Deneb examples are amazing. I also went some way down the Charticulator path till Brian Julius on LinkedIn suggested Deneb and it seems to be the best! It seems to be a wonderful implementation of Grammer of Graphics though I'd have to say it's far from the Tableau level of maturity/speed of use IMHO and requires overcoding in some areas (e.g. concatenated charts, tooltips perhaps).
