Can't find measure from a table while creating another measure in report layer.

Hi Experts,

I am trying to create a measure in the report visual layer.

While creating the measure using DAX - aggregate function Sum(), I cannot find the measure from the reference table.

The measure does exist in the fields section on the right but the DAX does not let me use the measure. Like I cannot find it.

Not sure what I am missing here.

Appreciate if someone can shed knowledge on this.

Anonymous , If you have measure , then you can not use it inside sum, You can use it inside sumx

Sumx(Table,[Measure])

Sum You can use on a number column = Sum(Table[Column])

Measure takes measure- That is already a measure
