Hi All,

I have imported the data in powerBI using API url. Because of that, I am not able to calculate using the column names.

I have attached the screenshot below:

Why do I get the URL and not the column names?

I would like to count the number of partnumber, but I cant select or type partnumber. I get an error.

What can I do so that I can get the count of partnumber?

Any help is appreciated!

Is that long string the name of one of your tables?

Yes it is.

But I cant seem to select any column for any kind of calculation.

Can I know why's that and what can be done?

Hi,

Since your table name is so long the columns won't appear in the UI. The format that the columns appear in DAX is 'table'[column]. Now that your table name is so long you can't see the column names. I recommend renaming your table to something more descriptive. In addition to solving your issue it will make your data model more understandable.

Anonymous It also appears that you have dates as columns. You probably want to unpivot those in the query editor.

Hi Anonymous

you can use the column names in your dax formula but your table name is too lng and there is no space for column names.

Change you table name to the short name then it will be fine.

I do want the dates as column names and hence did a pivot.
