      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi&amp;nbsp;Anonymous&lt;/LI-USER&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;What's your reason for avoiding the XIRR function? I'm aware that it doesn't handle errors well but that can be worked around.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;You could create a table of candidate IRR values then iterate over that table to find which one gives the NPV closest to zero (using XNPV if you are happy to use that).&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Owen&lt;/P&gt;</description>
