Dax Measure to get specific text value

Hello everyone!

I have a table like this:

Area	Description
A	Mounting Production Area ...
B	...
C	...
D	...

Now, I am looking for a measure that shows me the text for Area = "B".

I need to display this in a matrix/ table. Just this sentence.

How can I solve that?

With concatenate?

For now, it looks like how I need it.

But I have filtered this matrix.

I would like not to filter. I would like to filter within the measure.

I have a table where I have for each area a description like provided in the first post.

Then I have a matrix visual in the top of my view/ report where I would like to display one specific for the corresponding area.

Like the above, I would like to get the text where Area = B.

But I don't want to filter that within the visual. I would like to filter that in a measure like:

FILTER ( Area = "B") or so

How about this one?

Description for B = CALCULATE(MIN(Table[Description]), Table[Area] = "B")

Hey y'all - when I run this text lookup based on filter conditions as a calculated field witihin a table this code returns blank for all rows, even though each row has Position ID and Position Min Dates. Any idea under what conditions it would return blanks? No error message. Any way to triage? The Change Reason column is text

VAR VPosition = PositionsDateRange[Position ID]

RETURN

CALCULATE(

MIN(PositionsDateRange[changeReason (Picklist Label)]),

PositionsDateRange[Effective Date] = PositionsDateRange[PositionMinDate],
